The IBM 570 server, known officially as the IBM Power 570, is ideal for organizations seeking a datacenter solution that delivers lightning-fast performance and the ability to accommodate future growth. The IBM 570 offers true expandability: It scales up to 32 IBM POWER6 processors, up to 788 gigabytes of system memory, up to 20 SAS internal-disk drives, and up to 16 PCIe slots.
If you're looking to start off smaller, the IBM 570 is available in configurations with two IBM POWER6 processors, 4 gigabytes of system memory, one SAS drive, and four PCIe slots. The IBM 570 supports the IBM AIX, IBM i, SUSE Linux, and Red Hat Linux operating systems.
